Implanto Protect

Implanto Protect is a low viscosity, transparent, thixotropic and self-curing addition-curing silicone on vinylpolysiloxane base (VPS, A-Silicone) for sealing gaps and cavities in the implant prosthetics for example for two-piece assembled implant abutment systems.

Implanto Protect is available in a 5 ml-double-chamber syringe (KwikkMix ®) and can be automatically mixed and applied precisely with a mixing cannula and a fine application cannula onto implant abutment threads and within cavities.

Indications

Assembled implant

Two-piece assembled implant abutment systems are mainly screwed. Due to technical reasons there are gaps and cavities (microgaps) of about 5 to 120 μm where harmful bacteria and germs can colonize and multiply (size bacterium about 0,5 – 5 μm, or >, wikipedia. de).

Implanto Protect (transparent*) will be applied directly onto the threads and into the cavities before screwing. After screwing the sealing silicone will self-cure dimension stable and leads to an complete sealing of gaps and cavities of implants.

Implanto Protect is chemically and biologically inert after self-curing. Excess material can be removed easily.

Implanto Protect is further indicated for sealing of partly removable crowns, bridges, bar prosthetics and telescopic systems on abutments and implants. Implanto Protect also serves with technical perfection for fixing screws in implant prosthetics.
